Can we be real for a sec? 64% of Gen Z-ers are leaving their Christian faith every year. To top it off, unlike previous generations, they’re not coming back.

Young people have hard questions about religion, science, love, identity, and how it all matches up with the Bible. Often they don’t have anyone to talk to about it. If they ask their parents or pastors, they're treated as if they’re being disrespectful. So many end up abandoning their faith.

After interviewing young people from various ethnic and faith backgrounds, we created film scripts based on their authentic experiences and most difficult questions. Their voices formed the foundation of a 14-episode dramatic film series that can help to invite curiosity, empathy, and mutual understanding, even on some of the most contentious issues of our world today.

Darkroom exists to develop the next generation of faith, creating a community where young people can explore their big questions about God, the Church, and their own lives.

Jesse Oxford

Founder & Chief Catalyst

Here are the five things you should know about me. I effortlessly imagine new ideas and approaches that lead to significant impact. Constraints inspire me to achieve impossible outcomes. As a transformational leader, I see more in people, call it out and provide opportunities for them to realize their potential. In every interaction, I spark deeper understanding and inspire people with motivating word pictures. My daily habit is to investigate a surprising variety of information and apply it in uniquely useful ways.

These five things are true of me in every area of my life, and they are the core skills and practices that allowed me to build the team at OX Creative where we create purposeful campaigns that inspire GOOD in our world.

Our work has been referenced in a speech by President Obama, resulted in over a billion dollars in charitable contributions, included figures like Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg, and the son of Ugandan military dictator Idi Amin. If you’re still reading this, you might be interested to also know I've been awarded for cinematography at Cannes.

Cody possesses over two decades of project management experience spanning international project logistics to product development, which means Cody has learned a thing or two about how to get projects done.

At OX, Cody keeps our internal systems humming from his kitchen table in Atlanta. His written to-do lists and creative storyboard may be reminiscent of the past, but we love him for it. He reminds us that sometimes the old way of doing things isn't all bad.

If you’re trying to find Cody, your best bet is a local brewery or his front porch, where he currently resides with his wife, Mary London.
