K-LOVE Media
Where faith and music find their home
K-LOVE is one of the most recognized Christian radio networks in the world, reaching millions of listeners across the United States through music, storytelling, and faith-based content. At the heart of everything K-LOVE does is a single mission: to inspire people to move closer to Jesus. As the organization expanded beyond radio into a broader media network, K-LOVE was elevated to the parent brand for a growing family of platforms and properties. That growth called for a digital presence that could carry that mission across every corner of what K-LOVE had become.
OX partnered with K-LOVE and its sister station Air1 to redesign both websites, leading strategy, content architecture, and the design of key components across both platforms.
Ready for a bigger story
The existing websites reflected the natural growth of an organization that had been adding content, stations, and platforms over many years without a strategic plan for online usability. As K-LOVE’s reach expanded, so did the opportunity to build a digital experience that could match the depth and breadth of what the network had become. Visitors were coming to the site for music, for stories, for encouragement, and for faith, and there was a real opening to give them a more connected and rewarding way to find all of it.
Following the listener’s lead
As OX moved through the strategic phase, research revealed a specific user experience for K-LOVE’s audience. For example, a listener might arrive on the website after hearing a comforting song on the radio during a challenging morning, seeking more uplifting content. A parent could visit to find resources or articles to help share faith-based topics with their teenager. Someone coping with grief might use the prayer request feature to search for prayers or community stories that speak directly to loss or hope. Each entry point reflects a personal need. The mission of inspiring people to move closer to Jesus is most likely to be fulfilled by meeting each person in their current moment, rather than providing a one-size-fits-all experience.
OX identified the need to separate evergreen content, the pages and information that rarely change, from dynamic content, the constantly growing stream of music, articles, artist updates, stories, and resources that form the living core of what K-LOVE offers. Building smarter filtering systems around that dynamic content meant that a visitor’s interests could guide them deeper into the platform with every click, surfacing things that were genuinely relevant to them rather than simply showing them everything at once.
Designed to go deeper
OX restructured the content architecture around three principles. The first was building a living ecosystem where new content could be continuously integrated across articles, music, podcasts, and stories. The second was letting the user’s interests lead the way, designing filtering systems and personalized feeds that responded to what each visitor was already drawn to, allowing curiosity to drive the experience deeper. The third was ensuring that every interaction offered a natural next step, so that the experience kept growing with each click.
A custom music player has become one of the most significant expressions of that philosophy. Embedded permanently into the site, it does far more than play songs. As each track is played, it surfaces the artist’s story, favorite scripture, related content, and pathways into the wider K-LOVE network, turning a passive listening moment into an invitation to go further.

"Working with OX is like having an industry expert who’s also your confidant and friend. They make sure they totally get you and your brand. The excellent work flows from there. "
